2026 - Master Timetable

Classroom Timetables will be developed next week in readiness for Week 1.

Tuesday 27 January - Curriculum Day 0 Agenda (provided on 23 January)

Wednesday 28 January - Curriculum Day 1 Agenda (provided on 23 January)

Thursday 29 January - Organisation for the students' first day

Before school: all teachers to be outside to welcome students and their families.

Line Up

Foundation - under the undercroft at the back of the school, outside Melody's classroom
Year 1 - under the undercroft near the side entrance to the Junior Campus; where Foundation were last year
Year 2 and 3 on the synthi grass
Year 4, 5 and 6 as per last year

Foundation Testing

Thursday 29, Friday 30, Monday 2 February, half day (morning) Tuesday 3 February.
Gap Care provided by Kelly Club who will transit students in their care to testing and back

Foundation First Full Day of School

Wednesday 4 February
Welcome Morning Tea to all new families in the Hall 9:15am - 10:15am
Gap Care provided by Kelly Club for the second half of the day

Staffing

Vicki will be working four days a week for the time being (Monday to Thursday).
We are still recruiting for the 0.4 French Oral Specialist position. A CRT will be engaged until we find a suitable teacher.

PCO meeting room

We will be using the Senior Building Photocopy breakout room as our meeting room.

There will be no students access to this break out room.

ACCESSING the SCHOOL

Will be open from Monday 19th January to Friday 23 January between 9am till 3pm only.

All staff are to ensure that you are signed out by 3pm.

The hours for Thursday may be amended depending on the renovations.

Accessing classrooms - Junior Campus, Art, Science, Year 3D, Year 4 - 6

Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28

Due to the the risk of not having access to the newly renovated classrooms until Tuesday 27 January, all staff may need to be rostered for several hours to help set up the newly renovated classrooms to be set up.

Therefore, if you are available to set your class up from Monday 19th till Friday 23rd this would be advantageous to free up time on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Blue Area - Year 2, Year 3 except for Tim (Year 3D)

Thanks to the enormous effort in the last few days of term and the help from the builders, the furniture and resources have been stacked in the centre of the new classrooms.

We hope to have access by Thursday 22 January and will keep you updated as we receive more information.

Once we can access the newly renovated classrooms:

TEAM 1:
- We will organise a team of teachers to sort the furniture.
  - make sure that there are the right number of tables
  - that they are the right sizes;
  - that there are enough chairs, that they are all the same and are the right size.
TEAM 2:
- Help the classroom teacher to sort their room as they would like it to be:
  - placement of tables and chairs
  - placement of resources

PROTOCOLS

Our behaviours are the greatest predictor on student learning.

The way that we take care of our space is the model that our students will replicate.

Teach your students to care for their classrooms - to clean and tidy your rooms so that we all feel proud of our shared space.

Renovated classrooms

no sticky tape
no bluetack
do not stick anything on glass, cupboard doors, windows including internal sliding doors and external doors.
no pulley displays will be installed due to the amount of wall area

Areas covered with yellow, light and dark blue felt paneling are the areas for displays

only velcro or staples are to be used.

Room set up:

Only use the storage built in to the classroom.
Any additional furniture needs to be requested and approved.

All kitchens, classrooms and all shared spaces

We look forward to a year of enjoying our shared spaces! If you use a shared space, it is appreciated that you actively maintain them.

At the end of the year, regrettably we had to clean up many shared spaces.

Please ensure that you are proud of all of the spaces that you use.

Internal

wipe down surfaces daily when required to keep surfaces hygienic
pick up papers
keep resources in an orderly manner - easy for access
store resources so that they are not ruined - paper in appropriate shelving so that it does not become crumpled etc
keep your own set of cutlery, crockery etc with you in your classroom - do not use school cutlery or crockery that is in cupboards / storage boxes.
for SC staff needing to use microwaves or kettles to prepare food (i.e. lunch) your options are:
- BER kitchen, at the rear of the hall
- BER top floor breakout room
- Westh Wing (behind the science room)
- JC staff room
fridges available for staff to store food: library (behind the bell, First Aid end); Westh Wing kitchen (behind science room); any other fridges that may be around the school (e.g. BER breakout room)
SC Staff toilets: available toilets for staff use will be:
- BER hall disabled toilet
- Library building disabled toilet (1st level)
- Westh wing disabled toilet.
