Principal's Post

Welcome to the 2026 school year
We warmly greet our students, staff and families as we begin another year of learning, faith and community. Together, we will strive for excellence, service and personal excellence, guided by our shared values. May this year be filled with curiosity, compassion and learning, as we support one another and celebrate every success along the journey, with gratitude, hope, resilience, and joy shaping our days ahead.
The Mazenod College Strategic Plan was launched at the beginning of 2025. The Strategic Plan places a strong emphasis on student voice and is built on two foundational pillars: Inspiration and Empowerment. They are the driving force behind our commitment to creating a positive and impactful environment for students and staff.
A key theme from the Strategic Plan is ‘Humble Leaders Dedicated to Making a Difference’. We want to produce graduates characterised by warmth, empathy and compassion, where boys feel safe to be authentic, express vulnerability and explore what it means to be a man. Mazenod College nurtures students to become compassionate leaders who positively impact the world. Through empathy, integrity, and service, our students are empowered to drive meaningful change throughout their lives. Humble Leaders Dedicated to Making a Difference is the College theme for 2026.

VCE Results 2025
It is with great pleasure that I congratulate our VCE Students on their academic performance throughout the year, which is reflected in the final analysis of their VCE, VET and VM results. One of the strong traditions of the College is the attempt to provide a truly holistic education, one which fosters not only academic growth, but the growth of the whole person. The median study score was 33 and the percentage of scores above 40 was 15.3%. This places the College in the top 2 VCE results for Catholic Boys’ Schools in the State. Congratulations to College Dux, Pramesh Silva, and VCE VM Student of the Year, Daniel Nguyen. We look forward to celebrating all results at the Academic Day of Excellence Assembly on Monday, 23rd February.
