Forces and Motion Incursion

Students investigated different forces to learn more about the relationship between force and motion. Students explored the effect of friction, and learn about the forces of attraction and repulsion between magnets. Students were challenged with testing a reaction rocket to investigate air resistance and gravity. The passionate science educators carefully guided students through each step, prompting students to predict, observe and reflect on each activity.

Recycling club

This term we have commenced a recycling club in the primary space. Many students bring juice boxes and flavoured milk cartons as part of their recess and lunch, and we will be collecting these eligible containers for the 10-cent deposit scheme and fundraising for the school. Students have been creating posters and will be helping me to collect the containers. If you would like to collect your containers at home, you can choose to donate to Altona College Fundraising Committee via the CDS Vic West phone application. Please see the included infographic that the students have helped to create for more information. – Miss Bragg
