Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

In the happiness of Eastertide we celebrate the Grace that Jesus has given to us through his death and resurrection. The gospel this week reminds us of the faith community to which we belong.

John writes  'I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, with me in him, bears fruit in plenty. '

When we are working with our children this week we are reminding them that the school 'Be' statements of ' be kind, be an upstander  and be ready to learn' are the way that we can be connected to each other and can participate successfully in our faith community.  I encourage you to speak to the your children about how they are living these 'Be' statements in their lives.

Last Friday we sent a number of children from Grades 4-6 to District Track events.  Many of our children came back having achieve there personal best and with many ribbons. Thank you to Mrs Ary, the staff and the children for representing the school so well.

The School Leaders attended the Seaford RSL Schools ANZAC Day Ceremony on Tuesday. They did a wonderful job of leading the congregation in the Lord's Prayer and laying the wreath on behalf of the school.  We are grateful for the sacrifice of the soldiers and their families who fought and continue to protect our country. Lest we Forget.

The Fire carriers have their Commissioning Ceremony at John Paul College this morning. We are proud to engage the next generation of FIRE carrier leaders who will educate our community in the Indigenous Culture. Thank you to Mrs Ward for her dedication in this area of our school.
