Principal's Report
Dear families,
Hopefully everyone had a lovely term break. Mine was quite a busy one as our daughter moved into their house. I have become quite the flat pack expert!!They are now in a lovely home overlooking the Little Murray River.
On a much sadder note, we were all devastated to hear that the Karli and Sean Burney’s home burnt down on the last day of Term 1. Our thoughts have been with them over the past few weeks.
150 YEARS OF SCHOOLING
Tuesday was such an enjoyable day with the students participating in many olden day games, damper making and activities. Congratulations to all the staff and children who dressed up, it made for such a great day. The Shepp News attended and took photos so hopefully we will see them in the paper soon.
Lola E is a third generation student at Toolamba and she was wearing an old school teacher from when her mum Renee attended.
150 YEARS CELEBRATION
We are all very excited about our 150th birthday. Thank you to those people who have volunteered to help with the BBQ it is very much appreciated. Sixteen Grade 5 & 6 students have volunteered to help with school tours which is fantastic. Hopefully everyone had a chance to read the Commemorative Lift Out in the Shepp News. If not, we will have some copies available on Saturday.
Over the past twelve months we have had an extremely dedicated group who have worked tirelessly to organise this special event. We are so fortunate at Toolamba Primary School to have such community minded people who work tirelessly for our school and the community in general. I am eternally grateful.
