Victorian State School Spectacular

We are so proud to have 21 WHPS students representing us at the 2026 Victorian State Schools Spectacular, ‘This Is Me’. Students from across the state will take to the stage at John Cain Arena on Saturday 29th August for 2 shows (1pm and 6:30pm), performing to an audience of around 12,000 people.

The WHPS Spec team have recently attended 2 full day rehearsals at Melbourne Town Hall along with hundreds of other Government School Students. It was so exciting seeing it all coming together with the solo singers blowing us away with their amazing singing voices. Amelia S from Grade 6 was selected to perform with the Specialised Choir after auditioning earlier this year. She has been attending weekend rehearsals for many months, and we look forward to seeing her shine on stage.

We can’t wait to see it all on show with costumes, lights and the full cast at John Cain Arena on August 29th for a 1pm and 6.30pm show. WHPS were lucky enough to have 2 of our students selected to do a pre-recorded interview which will hopefully be shown as part of the promotional materials used. Keep your eyes out for the performance when it is televised in December on Channel 7.

Talented students from different Government Schools will feature on stage, while many other students will work behind the scenes, gaining professional experience under the mentorship of Creative Director Neill Gladwin, Musical Director Chong Lim and Dance Director Yvette Lee. Get ready to be amazed by the powerful pop anthems, moving ballads, high-energy choreography, awe-inspiring aerialists and circus performers. For a wonderful, family entertainment experience, and to cheer on our students from the audience, be quick to secure tickets.
