PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Basketball 3-on-3 Competition
Over the past two weeks, the school basketball court has been buzzing with energy as students battled it out in the Year-Level 3-on-3 Basketball Competition. The event was held at lunchtime and exceptionally well patronised, with strong attendance from players and spectators alike.
The calibre of the games was outstanding, with each year level showcasing not only their skills but also their determination and teamwork. From nail-biting finishes to clever plays and plenty of fast breaks, the competition was a true celebration of student talent. Equally impressive was the spirit in which the games were played—fierce on the court but always fair, with plenty of laughter and encouragement shared between teams.
The competition culminated in a much-anticipated showdown between the staff team and the Year 12 students. Cheered on by the crowd, the game did not disappoint, delivering plenty of action and entertainment. At full time the scores were level, resulting in a three hoop shoot out to separate the teams. Despite a strong challenge from the students, the staff stood firm thanks to Mrs Tilburn proving too strong on the day, securing a memorable victory.
Congratulations to all who participated and supported this event—it was a fantastic display of school spirit, teamwork, and healthy competition. A big thankyou to Mr Laursen and Mr Murphy for their organisation.
Laser Tag:
The end of the school term has begun with a burst of excitement as students enjoyed a thrilling round of laser tag, proudly provided in partnership between Northern District Community Health and Kerang Technical High School.
The event was open to both primary and secondary students, with dedicated session times ensuring that everyone could get involved in the action. The games proved to be a hit, offering plenty of fun, friendly competition, and laughter as students strategised their way through the course.
It was a fantastic way to launch the holiday break, giving students the chance to connect with friends, try something new, and enjoy an activity that kept everyone entertained.
A big thank you to Northern District Community Health and all who helped make this event such a success.
