GREAT Writer’s Competition
We’re excited to launch our Greenhills GREAT Writer’s Competition! This is a chance for all students to show off their imagination, creativity and writing skills. Students can submit any type of writing, this could include a short story, a poem, or even an information report. The focus is on creativity, adventure and having fun with words.
We love writing at Greenhills and we are often inspired by the passionate writers we have here at school. What a better way to celebrate this than to have a writing competition where we will actually become published writers. That is right, the winners of the writing competition will get their writing published in our GREAT writers book for all of the school community to read.
Who can be involved: Absolutely everyone! We want to see amazing writing from students from Prep to Year 6.
What: Any type of writing, which can include work completed at home or at school. Let your imagination run wild!
When: Entries are due on the first day back of Term 4.
How: Student writing will be voted on by the School Leadership Team. They will also receive some conferencing support by Greenhills staff members.
Below is a copy of the poster that is up in the classrooms at the moment. So sharpen those pencils (or keyboards!) and let your ideas flow. We can’t wait to see and read the GREAT writing very soon.
