The Library team congratulates and sends best wishes to all Year 12 students for graduation and the upcoming HSC exams. We will remain open throughout the HSC exam period to support your study needs, whether you're revising solo or teaming up with friends.
Students can:
Study guides are available to use or loan including ATAR Notes, Checkpoints, Excel etc... These guides break down syllabus content, offer sample responses, and provide tips from past high-achievers. They're a fantastic resource for last-minute revision or deeper understanding. Past exam papers are also great for revision. Students may borrow books throughout the exam period but must return all resources before the last exam.
Western Sydney University is running a series of free HSC study seminars designed to help students tackle key subjects with expert advice. These sessions cover exam strategies, content revision, and stress management. Ask Library staff for details on how to register or access recordings if you need help.
Blacktown Library is also offering a range of HSC-focused events and resources, including access to past papers and study guides, quiet study zones and extended hours. Visit their website or speak to us for help navigating what’s on offer. If you’re feeling behind or overwhelmed, remember: it’s never too late to study effectively. The Library team is here to help you. Drop by for a chat—we’re always happy to guide you through your next steps. The HSC may be challenging, but you’re not alone. Your library is a community and we are cheering you on. https://www.blacktown.nsw.gov.au/Services/Blacktown-City-Libraries/Whats-On/HSC-Study-Help
As Year 11 students finish their preliminary exam and take a small holiday break before starting Year 12, we wish them a safe and restful time. Students should spend time reorganising their Year 11 notes and getting books and stationary prepared for the HSC year ahead. There will be lots of content delivered by teachers next term and it helps if students read ahead. Students may read the syllabus, look at study guides, use Edrolo, ClickView or Atomi or speak to other students to get ahead.
Congratulations to all of the students who have received first round offers to study at university next year.
We are extremely proud of theses students and will be sharing these successes with our community over the next few weeks on social media so watch this space.
