From the Principal
Executive Director’s Award
Our fabulous General Assistant (GA) David Parton has been recognised by Cathy Brennan, the Executive Director for Metropolitan North Operational Directorate. The award is for the significant contribution of non-teaching school staff to NSW Public Schools.
Dave’s approach to his role is with a mindset of “how can I help?” and undertakes his role with professionalism, trust and expertise. He is the consummate problem solver, who uses his expert skills to be proactive and well organised in managing this large site and precinct.
Dave also carries the unofficial title of snake handler and wildlife warrior, ensuring all visitors to the precinct are safe and supported when our fauna encounters humans.
Dave’s service extends to supporting Wyndham College, the Nirimba Education Office and the Nirimba Collegiate of schools (Quakers Hill, Seven Hills and Riverstone high schools). One of Dave’s responsibilities is driving the Nirimba Collegiate bus to ensure our students from the collegiate have access to the courses they wish to study. Dave provides this vital service to support cross-school curriculum provision.
We are so lucky to have Dave as a member of our school workforce – there is no finer recipient for this award. Congratulations Dave!
New School leadership team
Congratulations to our 2025-2026 School Captains :
- Mugdha Lavu
- Apphia Nelapati
- Lakshmi Ausula Shyam
- Vilohith Umashanakar
They have engaged in a rigorous process to determine their suitability to lead our school and are strongly endorsed by their peers and the staff. They are already showing that they lead with their head and heart in equal measure and look forward to them building on the excellent leadership from our current school leaders (Aidan, Bryce, Chelsea and Ryan).
Vocational Innovation Centre Graduation
It was fantastic to attend my first VIC graduation to see all of our students succeed in attaining a vocational qualification in addition to their Higher School Certificate. Our students are so fortunate to be able to study these courses, free of charge along with their subjects at Wyndham College. The Vocational Innovation Centre has been purpose built to provide the best training experience for our students. Our students graduated from Drainage, Individual Support – Aging, Electrotechnology and Financial Services.
