A Huge Week for Our P&F – Thank You!

Last week was an incredibly busy — and rewarding — one for our Parents and Friends (P&F) Association, with not just one but two major events on the calendar!

On Wednesday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting the HSC Major Works Exhibition, showcasing the incredible talents and hard work of our Year 12 students across a range of subjects. The evening was a great success, with a wonderful turnout from families, staff, and students. The atmosphere was buzzing with pride and admiration for the creativity and dedication of our Senior School students.

Then, just days later, our community came together again to celebrate Father’s Day with a special breakfast and morning tea gathering. It was heartwarming to see so many fathers, grandfathers, and father figures join us for this cherished event. The smiles, conversations, and shared moments truly captured the spirit of our school.

This year, both events felt even more special thanks to the amazing support of our Year 11 and Year 12 Hospitality students and their teachers, Mr Joshua True (Head of VET), along with Ms Katherine Tripodi and Ms Katrina Feige, for their contribution to these successful events. They generously contributed their time, skills, and professionalism. From preparing and serving food to ensuring everything ran smoothly behind the scenes, their involvement added an extra touch of warmth and quality to the events.

We would also like to give a very special thank you to Gemma Donegan for her delicious scones, profiteroles, and eclairs – a true highlight of the Father’s Day celebration! Gemma's generosity in donating all of these treats is deeply appreciated, and her beautiful baking certainly made the morning feel extra special.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the SPC Maintenance Team for their ongoing help and support, with a Chris Hughes and Richard Cramb for going above and beyond to ensure everything was set up and packed down smoothly.

We are also very grateful to Ingrid Viney and Naomi Kunjip from the SPC Events Team for their support and behind-the-scenes assistance in making both events run seamlessly.

And finally, a sincere thank you goes to all the P&F volunteers: Lina Bartorilla, Lynette Trainor, Nicola Chatfield, Joanna Crisafulli, Belinda Barakat, Petrina Miliauskas, Hae-Jung Kim, Louise Calleja, Julie Lahoud, Caroline Matulic, Leanne Piccin, Gabriella Dessanti, Raja Touma, Janet Tannous, Gabriella Costa and Claire Hassan Bogoeski, who helped make these events such a success. From setting up and packing down, to coordinating food, decorations, and logistics — your time and effort do not go unnoticed. Your support continues to strengthen our school community and create memorable experiences for everyone involved.

And of course, thank you to everyone who attended — your presence and enthusiasm are what make these events so special.
