We are seeking volunteers to build our pool of reader/writers who assist during the Trial HSC and HSC examinations.
Reader/writers support students who have approved provisions by either reading exam questions aloud, writing down student responses, or both.
No prior experience is needed. Full instructions will be provided to help you feel confident in the role. Volunteers need to be available during school hours and have a current Working With Children Check.
If you are interested in being part of this important work and supporting our students during this significant time, please contact Carla Robinson (Secondary Learning Support Coordinator) at carlarobinson@ncs.nsw.edu.au for more information or to register your interest.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our school community.

Supervisors receive a roster from their Presiding Officer. The length and number of shifts a supervisor receives depend on the number of exams held at each school. Supervisors may supervise at more than one school
Supervisors must:
be able to stand for long periods of time.
Supervisors must not supervise at any school where they have a friend or close relative who is:
an employee of the school.
Submit an expression of interest at: https://www.nsw.gov.au/education-and-training/nesa/about/employment/supervising-hsc/expression-of-interest

Our school has been invited to participate in a study on best practice screen use. Parents/carers can complete a 10-15 min anonymous questionnaire and/or, if they wish, give permission for their child to do a student survey: Take the Parent/carer and student survey. You can opt to receive a summary of the state-wide results. Your insights will directly inform new classroom resources and policy. Thank you for your support.
