Aladdin Jr- School Production

The biggest focus this week has been on the whole school production of Aladdin.

Everyone has been very busy singing, dancing, waiting, changing, and finding where to be and when.

On Tuesday we had a full dress rehearsal at the venue. It was terrific that each group had the opportunity to watch the others perform, so they could appreciate from the audience's point of view.

At the actual performances, there were a lot of nerves and excited children. But after it was all over, it seemed that everyone had a blast, and many claimed that they would love to do it all over again!

We hope that the parents enjoyed watching it as much as the students enjoyed performing for you.

Waratah Bay Camp

The Grade 4 students had an absolute blast at Waratah Bay Camp in Week 3. What a fantastic experience everyone had.

The camp started with a beautiful walk from Squeaky Beach to Tidal River which had the students' endurance tested a little along the beautiful 4.5km scenic trail. Once completed we headed to camp to settle in for the next few days. To say the students were excited to get their cabins was an understatement as they picked their beds accordingly. We proceeded to dinner shortly after and into our fun packed disco where Taylor Swift singalongs took over much to the teachers delight. 9.30pm 'Lights Off' was the instruction as we prepared for Day 2!

A nice early wake up by the students as breakfast was served! Day 2 saw the students complete 7 activities in their allocated groups over the day. With weather conditions perfect it made for a fun filled experience. The activities included the Giant Swing, Teasure Island, Dolphin dodge, Aeroball, Initiaitive activities, Beach Volleyball, Low Ropes Course and the Nitro Swing. At the conlcusion of the acitivities the students got ready for a big dinner and then a night walk along the beach followed by a campfire where we tested our marshmellow cooking skills.

Day 3 began with a huge sand castle building competition followed by a huge job packing up and loading the buses. Once the campsite was completely spotless we said a huge thankyou and begun our journey home. The students were very excited to see their parents on arrival.
