Principal's report
Mr Shaun McClare
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin nation; past, present and those who will walk with us into the future.
We acknowledge the rich and unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas, educational practices and the hopes of all First Nations Peoples. We do this in the spirit of reconciliation as we move to a place of justice and partnership - together we work, learn, play and care for one another and this land.
Congratulations Mrs Carli Lange on being elected unanimously as Mayor of Manningham last week.
We are so proud of Mrs Lange and for those of us who work with her, we are not surprised. Mrs Lange is incredibly community-minded, empathetic, creative and passionate. We know you will do a wonderful job in this role and on behalf of everyone at Kalinda, congratulations.
A huge congratulations to Chloe Dux for coming in third place in the shot put at the State Athletics Championships. Making the State Championships is an incredible achievement and to finish 3rd is a massive effort. Please see our PE News page for more details about how she went.
We will be holding a Remembrance Day ceremony as part of our Assembly this Friday. Thank you to the Year 6 team for planning this and all of the staff for explaining the meaning behind the day, in an age-appropriate way, with their classes.
Our school will also be represented at the Ringwood RSL's Remembrance Day Ceremony on Saturday 11th November by the School Captains and myself.
