Year 3 String Immersion Program

Learning a string instrument requires practice, precision, critical thinking and discipline. Our String Immersion Program at Clayfield College fosters cognitive development and enhances skills like memory, problem-solving and focus. It also builds confidence and self-esteem as young learners experience the joy of mastering a complex skill through creativity and self-expression.

Our Year 3 students are entering the final stages of our program and have been working hard to prepare five pieces which demonstrate a variety of skills and musical elements, performing these pieces for an appreciative Primary School audience at Assembly.

Learning to play a string instrument early in life is an enriching journey that offers both personal and academic rewards and can lead to lifelong appreciation and involvement in the Arts. As our program draws to a close, we would encourage Year 3 students to commit to our Ensemble Program in 2024.

All students who are currently enrolled in private tuition will be contacted regarding ensemble auditions.

Please email Mrs Gordon via kgordon@clayfield.qld.edu.au if you wish to enrol or enquire about our String Ensemble Program at Clayfield College.
