From the Sports Desk...

It's been another great couple of weeks for Sport and PE.  

Senior Girls Cricket Team

Our senior girls cricket team played in the Manningham Division final on Friday 3rd November, against Serpell PS.  They had fun and although unsuccessful of a win, we commend them for their efforts.

Hoop Time - Future Stars Regional Final

Today (10th Nov), our Future Stars team the Donvale Dolphins competed in the regional finals at the State Basketball Centre.  They made us so proud and came away with 2 wins. They were unsuccessful in making the final, but we acknowledge their gallant effort.  Special thanks to their coach Jamie Mackintosh.  

Junior Sports Day Photos

Junior Sports Day on the 25th October saw many Foundation, 1 & 2 students receive rewards and it was a great day had by all.  Here are some more pics of the day.  

School Fun Run Volunteers

Our school fun run is just 2 weeks away and we've already raised so much for the school, we can't do it without some parent volunteers, so please sign up to help out.  

PE Classes

In PE the last few weeks we've seen our 3/4 and 5/6 classes undertake fitness testing, to help them discuss which areas of their fitness are strengths and weaknesses, the factors influencing their results and how they can go about improving their overall health and fitness.  

In our Junior years, we've been focussing on bat and ball skills, including team ball games, basketball, netball, tennis, cricket, softball and baseball skills.  We'll continue looking into bat and ball skills over the term.
