Grade Prep:

This year, our Prep students took their first steps into the world of physical education with boundless energy and an eagerness to learn. It's been a joy to watch them explore the foundations of movement, cooperation, and the thrill of discovery.

Cooperation and Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS):In the spirit of teamwork, our Prep students engaged in various activities that emphasised cooperation and collaboration. From galloping to leaping and skipping, they not only learned these Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) but also discovered the joy of moving together.

Throwing and Catching Techniques: Our Preps delved into throwing and catching, experimenting with both underarm and overarm techniques. These foundational skills are crucial for developing coordination and setting the stage for more advanced activities in the years to come.

Teamwork in Action:Learning the importance of working together, our students embraced activities in pairs and groups, navigating through rotations. This not only strengthened their social skills but also laid the groundwork for future collaborative endeavours.

Game Play and Safety Awareness:Through various games and play, our Preps applied physical activity rules, ensuring not just their own safety but also the safety of their peers. ThEY absorbed the significance of following rules, fostering a sense of responsibility that will accompany them in their physical activities throughout their school years.

As our Preps take their first strides into the world of physical education, we're excited to see the incredible journey that awaits them in the years ahead.

Grade 1/2:

In the dynamic world of physical education, our Grade 1/2 students emerged as skilled athletes, exploring the nuances of football punting, tag games, and striking techniques. Their journey has been one of teamwork, strategy, and a growing understanding of safety in motion.

Football Punting and Dodging Games: This year, our Grade 1/2 students improved their football skills by practising handballing, kicking and marking. Tag games became a favourite, focusing on the art of dodging—keeping everyone on their toes as they navigated through various challenges.

Striking Techniques: The introduction of striking techniques added another layer to our students' skill set. From the Forehand Strike to the Two-Hand Side Strike, they practiced and perfected their form during modified games and rotations. This not only enhanced their motor skills but also laid the foundation for more advanced racket sports in the future.

This academic year, the Grade 5/6 students soared to new heights in physical education, embracing specialised movement skills, refining communication strategies, and taking on leadership roles through the Sports Education in Physical Education Program (SEPEP). Their journey has been one of skill mastery, teamwork, and personal empowerment.

Specialised Movement Skills in Action:This year marked a transition for our Grade 5/6 students as they delved into specialised movement skills. SEPEP Experience: The introduction of the Sports Education in Physical Education Program (SEPEP) brought a unique twist to the class. Students had the opportunity to choose roles that resonated with their interests, such as Team Manager, Coach, or Promoter. This hands-on experience allowed them to run their own soccer competition, fostering leadership skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility.
