Great Barrier Reef Showcase

Students worked in teams to create a diorama on the Great Barrier Reef. The activities undertaken in this project demonstrated how the Great Barrier Reef has changed over time and how we as a community want it to be. By the end, students  gained more confidence and knowledge about the environment and how human activities are impacting it. This enabled students to come up with approaches/ thought processes to tackle the challenge of Climate change.Students proudly shared their newly gained knowledge with their parents.

 Zoo Excursion:

We went for a zoo excursion to Werribee Open Range Zoo. Students enjoyed watching animals in their natural habitat.

Students'  Learnings:

Aarnav:  "I learned about different animals. I loved watching gorillas relaxing in the sun."

Ridwan: "I saw a zoo keeper feeding the giraffes, that was fun to watch."

Monica: "It was fun watching the tallest animal in the zoo which is Giraffe."

Hartaj: "I enjoyed the safari.I watched Rhinos."

Beyza: "I loved watching Koalas ,how they were hanging upside down and that reminded me of my brother."

Alexander: "I enjoyed the safari ride and watching animals in their natural habitat."

Muhammad: "I liked watching gorillas, lioness and giraffe. Best part of excursion was safari."

Krystal: "I liked riding on the bus with my mother and friends and I loved how we explored animals."

Ieshca: "I enjoyed safari ride and loved watching animals."

Ivy: "My favourite part of zoo excursion was when I watched animlas from the safari bus."

Harliv: "I liked the safari ride and enjoyed watching animals."

Nikolas:"I enjoyed safari ride with my friends."

Sehbaj: "I enjoyed watching lion, cheetah, koalas and kangaroos."

Vivaan: "I enjoyed the safari ride with my friends and watched different animals. It was so fun."

Gurbaaz: "I liked watching cheetahs, lion. I enjoyed safari ride."

Book Week: 

The book week theme for our community was “Harry Potter”. We won the Book Week Door display.

 Here are some of the pictures from the Book week.

 Krystal: "I dressed up as Tinkerbell. I liked our community book week display of Harry potter. I got motivated and watched some of the Harry potter movies."

Samayra: "I wore Alissa's costume and I loved participating in book week parade."

Upnaaz: "I dressed up as my favourite character Rapunzel."

Ivy: "I dressed up as Bell and our book week display looked like the harry potter movie."

Beyza: "I dressed up as Hermione Granger and my teacher said student of the week is Hermione Granger. I felt very proud."

Harliv: "I really liked book week display ,I dressed up as Belle and my friend dressed up as Rapunzel, I liked her dress."

Nikolas: "I dressed up as Harry potter and enjoyed the parade."

Castiel: "I dressed up as Batman. Book week was fun."

Musa: "My favourite part of the book week was writing persuasive texts about why I deserve to go to Hagwarts."

Selena: "I liked writing the persuasive text on convincing Dumbledore to let me in the Hogwarts."

Gurbaaz: "I dressed up as bluey.''

Upnaaz: "I liked the book week parade."

Aarnav: "I enjoyed writing persuasive text to convince Dumbledore to let you in the Hogwarts. I liked writing why my costume is the best."

Ieshca: "I had fun."
