What are our emotions telling us? 

Sometimes, in the fullness of life, it can be easy to try and power through our schedules and push down emotions that arise from our daily normal experiences. Other times, we can overthink and dwell in an angry or sad feeling for much longer than what would be healthy for us.  It can be difficult sometimes to know how to address our emotions in a healthy way.  Science has shown us it is beneficial to address our emotions and pay attention to what we are being told. 

In the Wellbeing Room, there is this poster I am particularly fond of that expresses the idea that each emotion we experience, tells us something about ourselves. 

As we approach tomorrow and your next day, I encourage us all to think about, why am I feeling this way, and what is this feeling telling us to do. What healthy action am I prompted to take?  This mindful practice is an amazing example of how to live an emotionally healthy life.
