Parent Engagement

"

We welcomed some of the new Kinder families to the school this week for their first transition morning. Smiling faces seemed to be everywhere!! The buddies were a credit to our school paying such attention to the young students in their care.

We celebrated All Soul's Day on Thursday 2 November where we remember deceased relatives and pray for their souls. This special religious day also coincided with our monthly Coffee Connect. Thank you to those who came for a chat and a visit to the Church to light a candle in prayer. It is always lovely to connect with others in our community whom you may never have met before... hope to see you at our next one on the first Thursday of December. Venue tbc.

Parish Dates to remember!

Sunday 12th November at 10.15 am: Year 1 and 2 Family Mass: - if you would like to read as a parent as well as your child at this Mass, please let me know. The children's choir will be singing and morning tea will be served afterwards. If you are a full-time working parent, these Sunday Masses designated for particular years are offered so that you have an opportunity to connect informally as a class and in communion with one another. Getting together as families connected by faith can be very supportive in times like these where world peace is so fragile. We are so lucky to live in a democracy free from war. Let's give thanks for it at Mass as one community while praying for those in need. Practising the pause in the presence of God is sometimes just what we need to get us through the next week!

Friday 1 December 6 pm: Parish/School Christmas Around the World Carols Night preceded by food for all the family before the carols. Last night some lovely parents came together on zoom with Maia from the Parish to plan for our community Christmas event. It is shaping up to be a lovely celebration.  We do still need some people happy to come together either in the day or one night to help us roll some dim sums!! Could this be you??!! Email me please or talk to Christie de Zio if you see her around.
