Science in Year 3

Last Friday 10th November the year 3 students enjoyed a fabulous Science Day. Students rotated through various activities that stretched and activated their curiosity. These activities included scientific experiments about solids, liquids and gases, lego creations, machine inventions, quizzes and so much more.

Year 4 Camp

What an incredible first day we’ve had so far at Alexandra Adventure Resort!

After the picturesque bud journey through beautiful forest land, we arrived at camp.

The weather gods were smiling as we enjoyed the most stunning sunny day.

After arrival, we had a quick tour to orient ourselves, followed by finding out cabin groups and activity groups whilst having lunch.

After lunch it was time to head of for our first two activities. Groups enjoy basking in the sunshine whilst enjoying the views from the high ropes or scooting across the lake on the zip line.

There was some heated competition in the Ga Ga Pit and the giant swing was a real hit!

Dinner time involved some much needed carb loading with pasta bolognese, garlic bread and salads, followed by a choc mousse dessert: yummo!

Remembrance Day

Grade 4s learnt about Remembrance Day. Even though it is on Saturday we discussed how many of us had family members that fought in the war and honoured them. We read the poem in Flanders Field and the students illustrated the poem.

**And in case you missed this video last week, here it is again.

Foundation Teddy Bear Sleepover

On Thursday night, the Foundation students had a Teddy Bear Sleepover. Students have worked hard over the last few weeks to design and create a teddy bed for their toy to sleep in. After reading a story and tucking them in, the teddies and toys went off to sleep… or so we thought!

Students returned on Friday morning to find their teddies up to no good! The classrooms were messy and the teddies had been playing with all of our toys! One had even climbed up onto the ceiling fan, while others were caught having a sweet snack.

Mr Kent delivered us a secret USB file from the teddies, which showed us all of the cheeky things they got up to while we were away. Check out the video here. 😊
