From the Principal

- Mr Michael Horne

The temperature on my car read 5 degrees as I drove into the College yesterday, and my mind went immediately to our Year 7 cohort who would have been having breakfast, sitting outside some damp tents and about to pack up for another day on the Glenelg River. The Year 7 camp is a challenging one, but with the support of the College staff with them and their AusCamp instructors, I know that they will come back on Friday happy and proud, if perhaps a little cold and smelly!

The weather is looking much better for the inaugural Parents’ and Friends’ Open Garden Day this Sunday, 29 October. I will be at both Arrandoovong and Ardgarten across the day and I encourage you to join me. I mentioned last week on Speech Day what a herculean contribution our P&F makes to the school. My enormous thanks to all involved. I’m looking forward to a successful day, enjoying the gardens and raising further important funds towards the myPEC landscaping and play area project.

Finally, my best wishes to Year 12s as they continue their exams over the coming weeks; they have started confidently with the English exam on Tuesday – well done Year 12s and keep it up.
