Black and Green Aggregate Shield Dominance

Rugby was alive and well at the College last Saturday 28 March as the annual Black and Green Aggregate Shield fixtures against Trinity Grammar School brought Breen Oval to life. From the moment the gates opened, the atmosphere was electric. A blend of excitement, enthusiasm, and the relentless chanting from our Year 6 Supporters’ Day created a vibrant backdrop that carried through every match.

The barbeque was in full swing, sending the unmistakable scent of game‑day across the grounds as crowds steadily rolled in. It was heartening to see students not only taking the field but also lining the sidelines to cheer on their peers, showcasing the strong College spirit that defines our community. The unity, encouragement, and camaraderie on display were as impressive as the rugby itself.

As the day progressed, the anticipation built toward the headline fixtures. The First and Second XV teams rose to the occasion, delivering performances that lit up Breen Oval in scintillating fashion. Their skill, determination, and physicality thrilled the crowd and provided a fitting finale to a day already rich with energy and pride.

The 2026 Aggregate Shield fixtures will be remembered not just for the rugby, but for the spirit that surrounded it - students supporting students, families gathering together, and the unmistakable pulse of College pride echoing across the oval.

Thank you to all for your support in making it a magical day.

Black and Green Aggregate Shield – Football

The sun was shining as we enjoyed a fantastic day of football across SPC 2 and SPC 3. It was a pleasure to witness the quality of matches and the strong spirit shown by all teams.

I would like to extend my congratulations to all our footballers. Their attitude, discipline, and overall team performances were outstanding and a true reflection of the standards we aim to uphold. These qualities were evident in our results, both on and off the field.

Football recorded an impressive 20 wins on the day. It was particularly pleasing to see the First XI, Second XI, and all A teams secure victories. In addition, our lower teams also achieved excellent results, highlighting the depth and strength of the program.

I would also like to thank all parents/carers who assisted in the canteen on the day — your support is greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Sydney FC for providing “Man of the Match” tickets for every game played, both home and away.

We look forward to building on this success as the season progresses.

Wishing all parents/carers and students a safe and enjoyable Easter break. I look forward to seeing everyone again in Term 2.
