Julie Elkin

Ourschool Alumni Program Coordinator

Welcome back to another year!

Thank you to Leah, Patrick, Gloria and Kueper for giving up their time to address the 2024 cohort at the 'Orientation to Year 12' camp, held at Federation University, Ballarat.

They spoke about their time in Year 12 and their journey since leaving NGSC. Their messages were clear: plan, be organised, and look after yourself! Patrick talked about how being proactive and seeking out contacts led him down a different pathway to the one he had concentrated on during his VCE years; Kueper mentioned that he changed his uni course, and then became so absorbed in work that he didn't finish his degree! Gloria wished she had worked just that 10% harder, but nonetheless is thrilled to be involved in her passion for music. Leah spoke of her difficulties during her final year but reiterated the fact that there was always help around to lean into.

I'm very grateful to these alumni, both for their time and their messages.
