Principal's Message

On Wednesday, we sent 21 students to Shepparton for the Hume Regional Swimming Championships, and what a tremendous effort by all swimmers. Every student represented St. Joseph's with pride, enthusiasm, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

A shout out to Lucy Mynard, who swam the race of her life, winning the Breaststroke. Lucy is now off to represent St. Joseph's at a state level.

Heading to State!
Heading to State!

The 11-year-old boy's Freestyle relay team: Nate Chesworth, Zavier Kennedy, Joseph Raco, and Alec Corso swam their hearts out and placed 3rd.

What a race!
What a race!

We are very proud of everyone who swam and thank you Miss Kerr and Mr. Powell for taking the students for the day.

Morning arrival and yard supervision

In recent weeks we have noticed students arriving before 8:30 am. This is a gentle reminder that the school gates on Broadway St and Hay Ave open at 8:30 am. Yard Supervision begins at 8:30 am ensuring our student's safety.

Classroom teachers are allocated planning and preparation time until 8:40 am. This means that all classroom doors are open from 8:40 am. We thank you for your understanding and support.

Thank you to every one of you who has somehow supported our 2024 fete so far. Please if possible, can each family volunteer for just 1 hour.  It could be you, a grandparent, a family member, a high school-aged sibling, or a friend.  We are in desperate need of a pack-up crew.  Please just 1 hour per family and we would have over 196hrs.

Thank you to the dedicated staff who continue to go above and beyond for our students every day.  Your care, compassion, and enthusiasm for academics, well-being, spiritual, social, and emotional don't go unnoticed.  Enjoy the long weekend and stay safe.

Warm regards,

Sarah Iddles
