‘Exciting news from our school's Kitchen Garden Program! Half of our grade 1/2 students have embarked on a flavourful journey for the next four weeks, diving into the world of legumes. With aprons tied and curiosity ignited, they delved into their first cooking session, making White Bean Dip, Hummus, and flatbread.

 

Amid teamwork, these chefs are learning not just culinary skills but also the importance of healthy eating. As they chopped, stirred, and savoured their creations, they gained a deeper appreciation for fresh, wholesome ingredients.

This week the year 1/2's planted the baby Snow Peas that have grown from seeds planted by the Preps in our mini greenhouse at the start of the year. Very exciting!
