From The Team

We are well and truly into the swing of learning in Level 1/2. Classroom routines have been established and we have all adjusted to the new timetable. On Monday your child should have brought home their Communication Folder with 5 readers, their Reading Log and words folder. We ask that these folders are returned to school each day in case we have notices to send home. Readers will only be changed on a Monday and Reading Logs will also be checked then. Please fill out your child’s Reading Log each night that they read over the week.

Next Wednesday 28th February, all students in F-2 have been invited to a Teddy Bear’s Picnic here at school. Yellow invitations were sent out last week. We will meet undercover near the Prep building at 4.45pm. Students will then go on a scavenger hunt around the school, looking for our purple Buddy Bears. Families are then invited to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy. The picnic will finish at 6:00pm.

During Integrated Studies lessons, we have started investigating how things have changed over time in homes, schools and transport. To support this learning we have organised an excursion to Rippon Lea Estate. Permission and payment for this is now available on Compass.

At the beginning of next term we will be holding our F-4 Swimming Program. Keep your eye on Compass over the coming weeks for permission and payments.

Kaboom Sports

We had a great time at our Kaboom Sports incursion. There were lots of fun activities to do with our friends.

Writer’s Notebook

We have been gathering ideas for writing in our Writer’s Notebook. We used our senses as we walked around the school to collect ideas. We recorded what we saw, heard and smelt. Maybe one day these observations will be the idea for an amazing piece of writing.
