Parents & Friends - 100 YEAR Celebration

Hello everyone,

 

Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up and given an hour or two to this event so far.  We still need lots more people to step forward so the responsibility of the day doesn't fall on just a few shoulders.

THE 2024 '100 YEAR CELEBRATION' WILL BE EPIC!

Our lead coordinators are:

Ticket Booth - Garth Stirling

Sausage Sizzle - Amanda Theuma

Social Media and Comms - Bridget O'Connor

Teacher Liaison - Ru Lameijn

We still need (this list is LONG - PLEASE HELP!!):

  • An assistant to help me
  • Activity Liaison for the day
  • Food truck coordinator
  • Mystery Wine Stall coordinator 
  • Bluey Costume wearers (for 20 minute stints) and minders (person to assist Bluey while they are walking around
  • Volunteers to help with 2 hour time slots for the above activities
  • Set up and Pack down volunteers

Class Stalls

  • The class/grade stalls have been agreed with their teachers and are as follows:
    • Tombola Jars & Tattoo/sticker stall - 1/2 MB, DG & AS
    • Second Hand Book Stall/Second Hand Toy Stall - 5/6  BOC & FA
    • Football Toss & Lemonade /Cordial Stand - 3/4 VA, TR & MG
    • Icy Pole Stand and Lobachoc- Preps

Stall Information

The Bake Stall, Sausage Sizzle, Mystery Wine Stall and Ticketing Booth will have a Square card reader (very easy to use) and a cash float to accept payments. The other activities/class stalls will be accepting tickets purchased from the Ticketing Booth.  

Bake Stall

We ask that our bakers in our parent and carer community get their bake on!! Food can be dropped off at school on Friday 22 March (more details to follow). We also kindly ask that no baked goods be dropped off on the actual day (23 March). 

 

The Council Food Safety regulations require the following:

  • All goods to be sold are to have ONE easy to read ingredient list available at point of sale (you do not have to have an ingredient list on every item)
  • NO NUTS
  • NO CREAM or PERISHABLE INGREDIENTS – eg custard, cheese, smallgoods
  • NO REFRIGERATED ITEMS
  • All items to be individually wrapped or presented – this may be in a paper bag (please wrap a couple in gladwrap for presentation), cello bag, individual boxes or glad wrap.

If you need inspiration, have questions, or would like to pledge baked goods please contact Leonie.

Volunteers on the day will be assisting Leonie with point of sale. 

Sausage Sizzle

Volunteers will be assisting Amanda with food preparation, cooking sausages and point of sale. 

Ticket Booth

Volunteers will be assisting Garth with point of sale for all day passes (arm bands) and tickets for ticketed stalls/activities.

Bluey Costume 

The school has its very own Bluey costume and is a huge hit with the littlest people in our community!! No experience necessary!!! If you can floss that's an added bonus!!  Will fit most people (not extremely tall people). We ask that you walk around the grounds, stopping for photos and handing out treats for 20 mins. We also need "minders" to assist costume wearers and help Bluey navigate around. Your children can make excellent minders!

Mystery Wine Stall

As something new, we've decided to introduce this stall in this year's celebrations. We will be accepting bottles of wine donations at the office. These bottles will be wrapped and then sold as a mystery wine raffle on the day. This stall will be FUN - so I highly recommend volunteering for this!! 

 

If you have connections in the wine industry I would love to hear from you as I would love to get some high end donations for this stall from local businesses.

We need your help to make this amazing.Last year's fete was wonderful and created a real buzz around our school and community and this year's one is shaping up even better.  The more people we can involve the merrier (and easier for me trying to organise it).
