Welcome to New Staff

Natalie Bailey

Private Music (Vocal) Instructor / JS & SS Casual Relief Teacher

Hi everyone! I taught Music for eight years and oversaw the Performing Arts Department and produced multiple concerts and musicals. My new role is slightly different, serving in a dual role of voice tutor and casual relief teacher.

Apart from teaching life, I have been actively involved in church life, as a vocalist in the worship team as well as singing professionally for various musical projects. When not at school, I enjoy running/walking around Lilydale Lake, going to great coffee shops, reading and watching documentaries. I am married and am step-mum to an Oxley student. It's super exciting to join the team at Oxley Christian College. I look forward to a great year together!

Hello, I am very excited to be joining the wonderful team at Oxley Christian College. Over the last 18 years, I have taught Psychology, Mathematics and Health at several different Christian schools across Victoria. Teaching Psychology is a passion of mine and I love working with young people in their final years of school. I am married and have two children who are currently part of the Oxley Junior School and Oxley Kids. I am so thankful to God for leading me here and look forward to extending my involvement in the College community.

Hello, I have recently moved to the local area with my family and am excited to join the Oxley Junior School team. I am teaching Year 2, and I am looking forward to watching my students grow and learn as the year progresses. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy visiting parks and going for walks.

Rhonda Burns

Senior School Teacher

Following a career in Christian ministry I entered the teaching profession, with a desire to impart in the lives of adolescents an understanding of Jesus and His kingdom. For several years I have had the opportunity to teach in several independent schools throughout Victoria. Particularly, I have valued the opportunity to teach English, History, Christian Education, Religious Studies and Philosophy as well as been involved in school leadership. In my employment at Oxley, I do look forward to getting to know the students personally, and as learners together work with them to achieve their very best. I feel most welcome and thankful for this wonderful opportunity.

Junior School Teacher

I am very excited to be joining Oxley Christian College this year! I have spent the last three years teaching at a Christian school in the southern suburbs. However last year, the Lord clearly directed my path to come teach at Oxley and I am eagerly waiting to see how He will use me here. Outside of school, I enjoy doing anything creative or outdoors. I love playing volleyball and soccer, sewing and painting, hiking and when I get time, surfing and kayaking. I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can over the year to come!

Hello everyone! I have recently completed a Master of Teaching for Primary and Secondary education at Deakin University and now have the privilege of teaching Year 2! I’m excited for all the learning and new experiences that this year will hold for both myself and the students. In my spare time I love to read, listen to music, and I’m the owner of a cat who sometimes appears to like me.

Hello! I enjoyed my final year university placement at Oxley so much that I was thrilled to return! I have recently completed my teaching degree specialising in Health, Physical Education and English. This year I will be teaching Year 7/8 PE and English. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hitting the gym and exploring new places in my little pop-up campervan. I am looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Hello, I am thrilled to be a part of Oxley community! I have studied a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. With 13 years of experience in a Microbiology laboratory, I am eager to bring my real-life scientific insights into the classroom, aiming to make Science enjoyable and interesting for Oxley students. I thank God for giving me this opportunity, and I look forward to the journey we'll embark on together throughout the year.

Senior School Teacher

Hello! I have taught my favourite subject, Chemistry, in Christian education for many years and get excited about promoting student agency and wellbeing. Jesus is my best friend and I love telling people all about Him! My interests include time with family and friends, exploring new places, reading a great book and dabbling with water colour painting. I am so excited to be part of the Oxley community and cannot wait to see what God has in store!

Este van Rensburg

PA to the Deputy Principal – Head of Senior School

I am genuinely so grateful for the amazing opportunity to join the Oxley community. Previously I have worked in the Engineering, Health, and Child Welfare sectors in a range of administrative and HR roles. I completed my Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at the University of Auckland and then went on to Bible College and completed a Graduate Diploma in Theology. I have lived in three countries, South Africa then New Zealand and have called Australia home for the last 12 years. A little over two years ago we moved from Brisbane to Melbourne, and we are still getting used to the weather!

Outside of work I love to bake, admire 19th Century art, visit thrift stores and a keen DIYer. I am wife to a fellow South African, and mum to two boys, 7 and 10.
