Lunar New Year Lunch

On Thursday 15 February, the College organised a Lunar New Year Lunch exclusively for international students. It was an opportunity for international students to gather and celebrate New Year in a different part of the world. Dr Peck, Mr Avram, Mrs Kotzé and some teachers came and celebrated with us. Students who are studying Chinese in Years 10 and 11 prepared the food. The event was held in the Food Studies Dining Room. When the event commenced, I handed out red packets with lollies to the students and teachers and greeted them with a “Happy Lunar New Year”. We ate a variety of pork dumplings and fruits, and also had lychee drinks. 

It was really great to see everyone smiling and happy. Overall, it was an amazing and enjoyable time for international students and teachers.
