From the Principal

  Patrick Green

Dear Parents,

Transition to MACSEYE

(Term 3)

As we continue to transition our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) we will endeavour to keep you up to date on administrative arrangements. We would like all families to enrol their children into the MACSEYE OSHC so that when their service becomes active and your child needs to attend, all the necessary documentation will be done.  I would like to strongly encourage you to do this now, as the requirements are like any enrolment process and may take some time. The MACSEYE Support Service is very good and will be available to assist you should you have any queries.

MACSEYE is part of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools and provides high-quality child-centred care that is welcoming, safe, and grounded in the Catholic ethos of our school. Their programs support children's wellbeing, encourage creativity and play, and offer a smooth transition between the school day and home time.

ENROLMENTS ARE NOW OPEN!

  • Please see the attached service brochure for the link to the enrolment form.
  • Also attached is a helpful fact sheet with more information about enrolment and bookings.
  • You can also contact MACSEYE Customer Service Team via email contact@macseye.vic.edu.au or 1300 501 029

We look forward to welcoming MACSEYE to our school community and will continue to keep families updated in the lead-up to the transition.

Year 1/2 Excursion

On Tuesday June 3, the Year 1/2s went on an excursion to MoPA – Museum of Play and Art in Sandringham.  MoPA is a vibrant children’s museum that focuses on play-based learning and creative exploration. Students and staff had lots of fun exploring the different activities and experiences offered at MoPA.

Here are some reflections of their experience at MoPA:

  • Yenuli - I liked the slide. It was fun and very slippery.
  • Stephanie - There was a building that looked like a city. We had to discover if you could go through or if there was a blocked wall. It was fun and colourful.
  • Mason - I liked the slide because we could go upside down on it.
  • Emma - We went into a room with lots of tubes. We had to put balls in them and the balls got sucked in and then fell out at the end.
  • Mitchell - Inside the city there was a room with white dots. The dots were on the floor and you could walk and dance on them.
  • Lucas - At the dance party I wore a rainbow wig. I was doing the 'griddy' dance. It was fun.

Please explore the photos provided to see how students participated in the learning activities offered by MoPA.  Well done to all the Year 1/2s and staff for making the excursion such a success.
