Summer Inter-School Sport
Year 6 students have participated in the Summer Inter-School Sport competition on Friday mornings, competing against local schools.
Cricket
Cricket went really well last term. We tried our very best and lost some and won some games during the season. Throughout there were both some pros and cons to the term. The pros were that we had a lot of fun and worked together. The cons were, at times it was challenging which meant we had to add more effort. Overall, however, we had an absolute blast.

Softball
In Term 1, I chose Softball as my sport to play for the term. Even though we only won two games it was a super fun experience. We got to play with our friends and have fun at the same time.
Divesh
Our Softball team started off to a rocky start, but as we practised, our skills improved as well as our teamwork. In the end we managed to get a win and have a lot of fun on the way.

Cross Country
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the House Cross Country on Thursday 3 April at the end of last term. It was fantastic to see so many students completing the course irrespective of where they placed. There were lots of examples of amazing sportsmanship along the way and at the finish line.
The school team comprises of the top nine fastest runners in the 9/10, 11 and 12/13 age groups, and they will compete in the Monash Heights District Cross Country event on Friday 9 May at Mirrabooka Reserve in Blackburn South. The event notice has been published in Compass. Payment and consent are due now and not later than Wednesday 7 May.
Thanks to Miss Kemp, Ms Steward, Miss Boles and Mrs Lim for their assistance at the finish line, and to the other staff for their assistance marking the tags and supervising the students.
A huge thanks to the following parent volunteers who marshalled the course, ensuring the students were safe running around the track: Kat Pryde, Sa Feng, Edwina McCarthy, Kelly Lukies, Victor Tan, John Colley, Kenea Dhillon, Alison Patchett, Sam Doolan, Michele Chan, Meimy Tjiu, Ting Zhang and Fiona He. Your support is greatly appreciated as without your assistance we wouldn’t be able to run such events!
Thanks also to the Year 6 students who helped at the finish line, taking photos and handing out 1st to 10th place ribbons: Divesh, Henry, Arnav, Kabir, Elena, Emmeline, Katerina, Lauren and Eva.
