New School Strategic Plan (SSP) & Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) 2025
Following our routine School Review in 2024, we now commence our new School Strategic Plan. The snapshot and SSP document attached outlines our work for improving student outcomes over the next four years.
Our 2025 AIP has now been endorsed by the Department and School Council. The AIP documents the annual plan for school improvement priorities and provides purpose for all members of the school community as they work towards the goals set out in the four-year School Strategic Plan (SSP).

Performance and Development Plans (PDP) 2025 - Goal Setting
As a school, for the performance and development process in 2025, we will continue to use the state-wide alternative Statement of Expectation instead the standard Performance and Development Plan (PDP) process. Staff or reviewers are not required to complete any routine documentation or monitoring in eduPay. However as a network, the Statement of Expectation word template is now greater aligned to the pervious process.
The 2025 Statement of Expectation for teacher class employees is aligned to the key improvement strategies of learning and wellbeing in the AIP. Teacher class employees are encouraged to consider how they contribute to these areas as appropriate to their role and setting. Further information about the Statement of Expectation will be provided early Term 1 as the state-wide goals have not yet been released.
PDPs in 2025 will continue to be completed in teams for teachers and ESS. Staff with other positions of responsibility will have a 1:1 PDP with your line manager.
ESS will use the Excellence in Teaching and Learning Framework aligned to the Jackson Teaching & Learning Model for their end-of-cycle group reflection.
With the Statement of Expectation, it is expected that Department Education Support Class employees:
These goals can be modified for Teachers and Education Support Staff who are out of classroom-based roles.
Jackson Position Descriptions
We have been working with the Consultative Committee to document role clarity of the Department's Dimensions of Work, specific to working at Jackson School. Please find below the position descriptions for Teachers (Range 1 and 2) and Education Support Staff (Range 1-2). These also include the school and Department's Public Sector values.
Other roles at Jackson such as Full Time ES Range 1-2, ES Range 1-3 and above as well as management and leadership role are documented separately and will be shared through PDP conversations as required.
Staff Norms & Protocols
In 2024, we amalgamated and refined norms and protocols developed by PLTs to develop school-wide staff expectations. These values and expectations apply at all times but are particularly relevant during meetings and professional interactions between staff.
