What do you see as your role as a student leader?

As a student leader, my role is to inspire, support and represent the needs of my peers. It is to be someone who listens, encourages,  and help create opportunities for my peers to shine at St Peter's College.

What is one of the positives about being a student at St Peter's College?

A great positive about being a student at St Peter's College is not just the amazing oppurtinities, but the community we have, whether in academics, arts, or sports, there is always a supportive environment where students can strive for excellence while feeling valued and included.

What are your goals as Arts Captain in 2025?

My goal as Arts Captain in 2025 is to create a strong sense of unity across all arts disciplines, whether in music, visual arts, media, or theatre. I want to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to express their passions. Additionally, I aim to create more opportunities for our artistic students to shine, whether through performance nights, art displays, or other creative showcases.

Our College theme in 2025 is "Be the reason for hope" 1 Peter 3:15 - How will you live this statement through your leadership role?

As Arts Captain, I will live the theme 'Be the reason for hope' by using the power of creativity to bring light and hope to others. The arts have a unique ability to uplift, inspire, and foster connection, and I want to create spaces where students can find comfort and inspiration through their artistic expression. Whether it's through performances, art displays, or collaborative projects, I aim to make the arts a source of hope and strength for the school community, helping others see the beauty and potential in themselves and in the world around them.

What do you see as your role as a student leader?

I see my role as a student leader is to build up others, to give my peers the opportunity to be included and heard and to represent those students who are passionate about the arts. I believe that a true leader is someone who can empower and collaborate with others rather than simply barking orders at them, and can inspire their peers to do the same.

What is one of the positives about being a student at St Peter's College?

The main positive about being as student at St. Peter's is the sense of community; whether it's through the different houses, friendship groups, or just subjects, there's just a general sense of belonging that I think we can take for granted sometimes. Fostering this sense of belonging is something that I deeply value within this school.

And the teachers are okay too, I guess (that's a joke, we have excellent teachers).

What are your goals as Arts Captain in 2025?

Some of my goals as Arts Captain for 2025 are to give students more opportunities to engage with the Arts outside of classes, running new activities during recess & lunch, and establishing an arts team to help set things into motion and to get what the students want done. I wish to foster self expression a community that embraces the arts . Another goal of mine is to help make this year's Year 12 Video the best one yet.

Our College theme in 2025 is "Be the reason for hope" (1 Peter 3:15) - How will you live this statement through your leadership role?

As Arts Captain, I will aim to embody the theme of "Being the reason for hope" by fostering an inspiring and inclusive community around the arts. By encouraging creativity & collaboration, I wish to inspire others to follow suit and to embrace an environment of hope and expression.
