PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Held every Tuesday during term time from 9-10.30am, Playgroup @ St Paul is for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver. School families are more than welcome to come across after you have done the school drop-off.  We won’t be completely set up, but you are still welcome to hang out with us.

Cost is $2 per family. And as a new feature, you can now pay by card.  No more turning the house upside down looking for coins.

Come and check out the play space, make a craft, play with playdough, explore the sensory play space, and join in with story and song time.

This week, we made koala headbands at the craft table and played with the Australian animals in the sand tray to go with the book ‘Koala Lou’ by Mem Fox. Next week, we will be reading the book ‘Noni the Pony’ by Alison Lester.

BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK

The Bible verse this week comes from the Parable of the Prodigal Son.  Parables are short stories Jesus used to convey messages of God’s character.  In this parable, a man had two sons; one son went and squandered his inheritance, and the other son stayed working with his father.  When the wayward son came home, asking for his father’s forgiveness, the father welcomed him home with loving arms, saying “For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” (Luke 15:24).  This story reflects God’s character.  God’s love for you is unconditional and He rejoices when sinners repent and return to Him.  This parable shows God’s willingness to forgive us and the importance of forgiveness in our relationship with others.

PRAYER OF THE WEEK

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving us and forgiving us. We rejoice because of you. Amen.

BLESSING OF THE WEEK

(Name) God is merciful and forgives your sins.  Amen.
