Congratulations to all of our children for their resilience, focus and willingness to have a go during this year’s NAPLAN testing. The testing period formally closed on Monday of this week and we have been so proud of how our children have worked in quite a different approach to their day to day learning. Thank you to all our parents for your support and encouragement and to our teachers for nurturing our young learners this year and in particular during the past few weeks.
At the end of this term, we have our Parent Teacher Learning Conversations coming up.
These are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s first term of learning in 2025 with their teacher, to share your observations from home, and to hear more about your child’s academic and wellbeing progress this year.
Learning conversations happen on the evening of Thursday 10 April and during our school closure day on Friday 11 April. Please check your emails for the link to book these sessions with your child’s teacher. We look forward to seeing you and working with you to support your child in their schooling journey.
We know many families are looking forward to joining our SPLASH Vacation Care program this holidays which is always very exciting and well attended. There are also many other activities available for families around Adelaide during the break, including some free activities as well as paid experiences.
Here are just some of the many other events happening around Adelaide that may be of interest to your family as you plan ahead for the school break.
Families are welcome to join us on the Big Park this Thursday morning from 9am as our children gather in their age groups to participate in this event. You may even see some staff joining in a first lap to encourage our runners. Come along to support the children as they put their ‘Brave in front’ and have a go. All the best to our runners and remember the words that Miss Bartlett often shares ‘Your best is the best’. If you are coming along, we encourage you to park on either Deakin Street or Barton Street.
We are looking forward to our community event, Picnic @ Pauls this week. Please join us after school for an afternoon of fun and fellowship on Friday 28 March from 3:15pm-5:45pm. BYO picnic, blanket and deck chairs and get ready for the fun to begin. Bring along some gold coins and your best aim if you would like to try dunking a teacher in ‘Beat the Bucket’. We have food and drinks available to purchase and activities for everyone to enjoy. Please see the detailed flyer included in this edition of Inspire. A reminder to consider carparks on Friday as the courts will be closed on Friday afternoon due to this event; Kiss and Drop will still be available.
