National Reading Month

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

These are the words of Dr. Seuss in his book  "Can Read with My Eyes Shut".

Last month was Reading Month, and while it isn’t an official celebration in Australia, it’s the perfect excuse to get snug with a good book.

Reading Month is celebrated in March in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday (March 2nd), recognizing his significant contributions to children’s literacy and education. His wide world of narratives have inspired generations of young readers, making learning both fun and engaging. But beyond just celebrating Dr. Seuss, Reading Month serves as a reminder of the importance of reading in expanding our knowledge, imagination, and creativity.

Whether it’s revisiting childhood classics or diving into new adventures, this month is a great opportunity to rediscover the joy of books and the endless possibilities they offer and embrace the challenge!
