Children from Prep to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers. Children from Year 3 to Year 10 are challenged to read 15 books.

This year’s Author Ambassador Jess McGeachin brings his inspiration for nature and love of hidden places to his stories and has won numerous awards for his books including the 2023 Children's Book Council of Australia Eve Pownall Award.
