isee icare Ambassadors Report

On the 5th of May, the ‘i see i care’ ambassadors: Grace, Maya, Ethan, Kurtis, Elizabeth and Aarna jumped into Maya’s dad, Kav’s car to go to Heany Park Primary School. At Heany Park we were going to learn how to teach a younger audience about marine life and the effects of rubbish in the ocean. The trip was full of fun and laughter. We arrived after a 20-minute ride. We hopped out of the car and met Mrs. Scully and Miss M, our supervisors. Feeling excited, we walked into Heany Park Primary School proudly wearing our Highvale Primary School uniform.
We put our bags down and went to join the other schools that were on the floor listening to Ally and Georgie, from the Dolphin Research Institute and who would lead the day. We got our notebooks and pencils ready for some great advice for how to teach. Georgie and Ally gave the whole presentation that we were going to do later. We split off into two groups and Highvale were paired up with Princess Hill Primary. We each got a different role and practiced with enjoyment. Finally, we then presented it to Heany Park Primary, Year 3 and 4 students.
It was a great experience and everybody enjoyed it. Special thanks to Mrs. Scully and Miss M our wonderful supervisors and to Kav our spectacular driver.
