Student Learning

 Foundation

This week we've looked at the sound 'c' and the different letters that make that sound...C & K! We made kites and flew them in the wind! It was great fun!

We have also learnt the letter 'u' and had fun making umbrellas!

In Mappen students have been learning all about the parts of plants and what they need to grow. Look at these gorgeous flowers they made!

Year 1/2

Reading: In reading, the 1/2 students have enjoyed identifying the key events in both fairy tales and their own readers. They then practised summarising these events.

Writing: To complement our unit on fairy tales, the students have worked hard to create their own original stories. They developed unique characters, imaginative settings, and thoughtful problems with creative solutions. They should be very proud of their published pieces.

Math: The students have exploring the concept of measurement. They investigated both formal and informal units to measure a variety of objects and had fun applying their learning by measuring items around the classroom. In addition, they had fun learning to recognise, continue and create patterns through hands-on activities.

Year 3/4

Our strategy groups have been working hard on vertical addition. Shout out to Henry for teaching his new skills to a student in class!!
