Dear Parents & Carers,
Welcome back to school. I hope everyone had a safe and pleasant break.
I am excited to inform you that for Term 2, the P&C is having a busy start, beginning with our first fundraising event of 2025, which coincides with the election tomorrow, Saturday, 3 May. There will be a BBQ (a.k.a. Democracy Sausage Sizzle!) next to the school hall, which will be serving as a polling station for the election. Please come by to say hello and support us! If you can help out in the morning, please let us know by filling out this form:
Next, we will have our Mother's Day morning tea at the school hall next Friday, 9 May from 8:15 am -9:30am. Everyone from our community is welcome. Please see the flyer below for more information. We would like to use this opportunity for families to donate any CPS uniforms that their children have outgrown or are no longer needed. Please note that due to the school's uniform policy, P&C can only accept and make use of uniforms that are of current style, clean, and not damaged. Please note normal wear and tear is fine. With the donated items, P&C will run a second-hand uniform shop as both a fundraising and re-using initiative, which will benefit the community by providing another option for families, while profits (after deducting applicable costs) will be contributed back to CPS for a variety of improvements and upgrades.
Last but not least, the P&C will be organising a Fun Run, which will serve as our major fundraising event for 2025. We are planning to hold this event in June; however, we will provide more details next week as we begin the campaign, so stay tuned.
