Principal

Mr Cameron Jones

Welcome

Welcome back to Term 2. I hope all our students, staff, and families enjoyed a refreshing break and are ready for the busy term ahead. Our staff began the term by working together on our School Development Day, with a focus on High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE). This important work will continue to strengthen how we support and extend every student’s learning. We are looking forward to a productive and engaging term, and I encourage families to stay connected through our regular updates and events.

Good luck

We wish all our students sitting the Opportunity Class and Selective High School placement test today and over the weekend, the very best. These assessments are just one part of a broader learning journey. We know they’ll give their best, and we’re here to support them every step of the way.

After school use of the park area

A reminder that parents and carers are welcome to use the park area with their children immediately after school, as long as children are actively supervised. Children should not be in areas where their parents/carers cannot see them. This includes areas such as the cave and nature play.

This week we have found many students in the school grounds who are unaccompanied by an adult. No student can be on site unless they are with their parent/carer.

We kindly ask that all families leave the school grounds by 3:50pm, as the park area will be used by our Before and After School Care (OOSH) service from that time as part of their afternoon program. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe and shared space for all.

ANZAC Day Dawn Service

Our school leaders and I attended the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Chatswood Garden of Remembrance. During the service, our leaders laid a wreath on behalf of our school community to honour the sacrifices made by so many. It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the values of service, mateship, and courage that continue to shape our nation. Lest we forget.
