Assistant Principal's

Report

Last week was our first full week back at school and we had several exciting events taking place.

Cross Country

On Thursday morning, our school held its annual cross-country event. It was fantastic to see so many students giving their best and showing great sportsmanship throughout the morning. The atmosphere was full of energy and encouragement, with students cheering each other on. Well done to all the students who took part in the event and well done to Ben for organising another smooth sporting event.

PYP Training

On Wednesday and Thursday this week, our new and some returning staff took part in the ‘Building Your IB Programme - PYP” training. They worked hard to engage deeply with the PYP framework, collaborating thoughtfully and sharing valuable insights throughout the sessions. This professional learning will directly benefit student learning by strengthening our shared approach to student agency and contextualised learning opportunities.

Colour Run

The first FNPS Colour Run is taking place on Wednesday afternoon and everyone is incredibly excited. Students have been working incredibly hard raising money through sponsorship and will have a great time at the run as a reward. Look out for some incredible photos in next week’s newsletter or come along to the event. Andrea and Nicole have been putting a lot of time and effort into this event and we thank them so much for their dedication. There is still time for the students to raise money and gain sponsors, so let’s put in a final effort.

2026 Prep Enrolments

Do you or someone you know have a child starting school in 2026? We are now accepting enrolments for next year, with school tours being held fortnightly on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am.

Additionally, prospective families are invited to join us on Wednesday 21st May, 2025 at 6:00pm for our Prep 2026 Information Evening. The evening will provide families with information about our school, our curriculum, our community and the 2026 enrolment process.
