Consent Labs

On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 May, all students will explore the concept of consent and how it applies to everyday interactions, friendships and relationships in a series of workshops hosted by Consent Labs.

Consent Labs is a not-for-profit organisation that empowers school communities with consent and respectful relationship education, aligned with the school curriculum. At our College, we are committed to fostering a culture of respect, dignity and care for all individuals. Consent is a fundamental aspect of building healthy relationships, and by providing students with the knowledge and skills to navigate relationships with confidence, we uphold our commitment to their holistic development, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

Grounded in Catholic teaching, which calls us to honour the dignity of every human being, these sessions  will help students understand the importance of mutual respect, clear communication, and personal responsibility in all relationships, whether online, in friendships, or in romantic contexts. The sessions will empower students to recognise and challenge behaviors that undermine consent, equipping them with practical strategies to set boundaries, seek support, and care for others in their community.

In today’s world, young people encounter complex social situations where their ability to make informed and ethical choices is crucial. By addressing topics such as affirmative consent, digital responsibility, the influence of alcohol and drugs, and the role of active bystanders, we are preparing our students to live with integrity, guided by values of justice, compassion and respect. These sessions are not just about safety; they are about cultivating a culture where every individual feels seen, valued, and heard, in alignment with our Catholic mission to uphold the dignity of all.
