Principal's Report

What a wonderful week it has been at Rosanna Golf Links Primary School, with plenty to celebrate across our community.
A particular highlight was the outstanding performance of our netball team, who won at the Division competition and have now progressed to the Region stage. This is a terrific achievement and reflects not only the players’ skill and determination, but also their teamwork, encouragement and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school and wish them every success as they take on their next challenge. Go Golf Links!
This week also saw the collection of our annual Pie Drive orders. A very warm thank you to the GLCG for the considerable time, energy and organisation that went into making the fundraiser possible. Coordinating an initiative of this size takes a great deal of work behind the scenes, and we are extremely grateful for the ongoing contribution the group makes to our school and community. Thank you also to every family who placed an order and supported the fundraiser, we hope you enjoy the delicious results!
As another busy week draws to a close, I am once again reminded of the enthusiasm, generosity and community spirit that make Rosanna Golf Links such a special place.
3 - Way Conference.
Term 3 Three-Way Conferences will be held on Wednesday 5 August, between 11:00am and 7:00pm. Bookings are now open and will close at 9:00am on Monday 3 August.
This is a variation to the regular school day, meaning students will not attend normal classes onsite. All students are expected to participate in their conference, either in person or via Webex.
Families wishing to attend online should book a conference time and then email their child’s classroom teacher, who will provide a Webex invitation or meeting link.
Camp Australia will operate its OSHC program from 7:00am until 6:00pm. Please contact Camp Australia directly if you require care for your child.
Our specialist teachers will also hold an information session at 5:00pm for interested families. We look forward to welcoming students and families to these important conversations celebrating progress and identifying future learning goals.
DonateLife Week started on Sunday 26 July and runs until Sunday 2 August 2026.
It is a public awareness week encouraging more Australians to support organ and tissue donation.
Anyone in Australia aged 16 and over can register on the Australian Organ Donor Register to be an organ and tissue donor. It only takes one minute to register.
Organ and tissue donation can save and change the lives of people who, in many cases, are seriously ill or dying. To read stories of people who have received donations, refer to Donation stories on the DonateLife website.
Save the Date - Book Week Parade!
Book Week is nearly here, and we are excited to celebrate with our much-loved Book Character Parade Assembly on Wednesday 26 August at 9:00am. In keeping with this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories”, students are invited to dress as a favourite character from a book.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to join us for this wonderful celebration. As someone who loves all things literature, Book Week is one of my favourite events on the school calendar, and I am especially looking forward to this year’s parade. I cannot wait to see the imagination, creativity and joy our students bring to the occasion!
Take care,
Kirrily Lamers
Principal
