As we embark on a new school year filled with possibilities and growth, we recognise that a positive and supportive environment is essential for both academic success and personal development. The Educators have been busy creating conditions for a positive and welcoming environment where children are nurtured and honoured.
The Berry Street Model and values are in full swing at One Heart as the educators spent a day upskilling in what Engagement and Stamina can look like in hubs to support children in their wellbeing and learning. The focus for this term is on supporting children to continue to develop their Growth Mindsets, Stamina, Resilience as well as fun and joy whilst developing, creating and maintaining Relationships.
Sexual Education Australia (SEA) are running an online parent info session for those who have a child in 5/6 on the 20th February 2024 at 6.30pm. Please keep a lookout in your email for more information about this session. SEA educators will also be running workshops for the students during the day on the 22rd February, 29th February and 7th March. The sessions will also be supported by the hub educators and leaders.
Billie made the most of the school holidays with many long walks, beach visits and lazy mornings. Billie even had a week away from home, where she lived with Mariam and had so much fun with her dog Mishka!
We are looking forward to having Billie back at school! After a few months away, we ask if you could please revisit the three expectations. These will help Billie to relax and feel calm and safe. This will support her transition back into school.
