Holiday Reading

The upcoming school holidays provide a great opportunity for lots of Reading activities:

  • Reading signs, posters, information relating to holiday activities
  • Read brochures and plan a day out
  • Read magazines
  • Design an Easter Egg hunt with written clues and instructions
  • Visit the local Library - https://www.yourlibrary.com.au/locations/realm-library/
  • Read/listen to stories at bedtime
  • Reading with your child is an opportunity to provide feedback to your child, shower them in praise and to prompt them to talk about what they have read.  Of even greater importance is to develop a love of reading and literature!

Happy reading!

Mathematics - Easter Riddle

Can you believe the holidays are only two weeks away?

In the spirit of Easter, we have a mathematics code breaker for you to have a go at.

You must solve the times tables questions and match the answer to a letter or symbol to discover the Easter joke.

As you solve each multiplication question, find the corresponding letter in the code box. Record all the correct letters and you will have cracked the code to get the Easter joke.

As an extra family challenge - use the code to create your own Easter theme joke, riddle or sentence.

Thanks
