Living the Gospel

Happy St Patrick's Day

On Friday 15th March, a group of Year 6 leaders attended a St. Patrick’s Day Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. There were over 1000 primary and secondary students from many parts of the state. The cathedral was an amazing landmark with outstanding stain glass windows and terrific features. Even though it was pretty hard to see everything, it was terrific to be a part of it. The students represented St James proudly.

The train ride in and out of the city was amazing and a terrific opportunity to bond as a small group. I think we were the noisiest on the train.

After the mass, there was a celebration in the park. There was a band and games to play. Singing along to Taylor Swift songs and scoring goals in the small soccer goals were the highlights.

We now take on the responsibility of taking on the message of the day - Go Out and Live the Christian Message.
