Well that is Week 2 done! If this is an indication of how quickly the year is going to go we are all going to have to hang on for the ride.

It has been great to see all the activities that the students have been engaging in during the week across the College in both the residential and day time programs.

Staffing Update

Further to the details provided last week:

  • Chaplain – Youth Care is currently working with the College to find a replacement Chaplain. In the interim,  Mrs Emma Curulli is assisting by providing one day per week on a Tuesday for Term 1, whilst the process is being undertaken. Emma is the Chaplain at Yarloop Primary two days a week and lives locally. Welcome Emma to Harvey Ag and we look forward to having you join the Student Services Team for the Term.

College Board

The College is an Independent Public School and as such a College Board is in place as part of the governance structure. The Board comprises of representatives from the school staff, community and parents. In 2023 the parent Board Members were:

  • Year 10 - Nichole Smith.
  • Year 11 – Kirsty Jacobs.
  • Year 12  – Natalie MacDonald.
  • Immediate Past Year 12 – Adam Becker.

Through the natural progression, parent board members rotate through years whilst their child is at the College and remain a board member for one year following their child leaving at the end of Year 12. Parent Board representatives for 2024 are as follows:

  • Year 10 - vacant.
  • Year 11 – Nichole Smith..
  • Year 12  – vacant (due to child no longer enrolled at the College).
  • Immediate Past Year 12 – Natalie MacDonald.

In the coming weeks information and details will be provided to parents indicating how the vacant positions will be filled.

I would like to thank both Adam Becker and Kirsty Jacobs for their active participation and service on the College Board. The contributions you both made during your respective periods of service were highly valued. Thank you for your involvement.

Have a great weekend!
