Schoolwide Positive Behaviour
A big warm welcome back to all students, families and carers.
As we embark on a new school year filled with opportunities and exciting new experiences, we would love to reintroduce our school values, and an exciting new addition to the rewards process of the framework we use when caring for our young people at Koonung, the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework.
New addition to awards:
The SWPBS team is excited to announce a new set of recognition awards for students who consistently display the Koonung school values. Students have already been receiving merits during assemblies and special events for consistent excellent behaviour, and when they achieve certain merit levels, they will now be eligible* for special Koonung badges which can be displayed with pride on their blazers:
Bronze Tier: Awarded to a student who has achieved at least 3 merits.
Silver Tier: Awarded to a student who has achieved at least 6 merits.
Gold Tier: Awarded to a student who has achieved at least 9 merits.
Principal’s Commendation: Awarded to a student in Middle Years, Senior Years, and school-wide, who most exemplifies school values as recognised by Koonung Staff.
Merit and badge eligibility are subject to the discretion of Middle and Senior School Staff*
